Advert description
I believe in a personal, tailored approach to lessons in order to ensure they are both engaging and productive. This will include a mixture of demonstration and individual tasks to build confidence, and short assessments to track progress. Before beginning regular lessons with students, I think it is important to discuss long-term goals with parents and identify both areas of strengths and weaknesses to work on.
As a student myself, I understand the hard work that needs to be put in to achieving goals (whether that is entry to grammar schools or excellent exam results), and already have experience in tutoring within school including history mentoring, and outside of school with English Literature and History tutoring for 13-15 year olds. However, my lessons are aimed at students from Year 5 up to GCSE level. Sessions normally last for approximately an hour, but I'm flexible and happy to accommodate individual needs.
As a tutor, I am confident and passionate about what I teach, and aim to establish a good, professional relationship with both tutees and their parents.
I'm an A Level student at a top grammar school with particular passion for studying literature and humanities, which I also enjoy tutoring. I am working towards A Levels in Spanish, Classical Civilizations and Politics.
Through attending a highly selective school, I can fully comprehend the benefits of attending one and therefore am willing to put maximum effort into ensuring you/ your child has the best possible chance of passing the entrance exam.
I am an interactive tutor, looking to build good relationships with tutees, and enjoy using technology as an effective learning tool, for example to email online resources that can be viewed/ completed outside of lessons.
