I am an experienced Italian teacher with several years of international teaching experience in Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States. I have a PGCE qualification after two years of part-time study.
I left Italy after completing a four-year degree in Italian Language and Literature at the university of Salerno. I worked for many years in US e UK in journalism and teaching.
I have always taught Italian since my first days abroad. I have taught Italian to children, adults, senior international business executives and classes for GCSE exams, A level and revision courses during the holidays. I was nominated by my employers (South Thames College) to study for a PGCE. I completed my studies in June 2012, the course provided me with teaching skills and a higher level of ability in the classroom.
I like to differentiate my lessons according to students' needs and adopt a variety of resources, considering whether the student is a visual learner, or learns through repetition, writing things down, etc. I customise my lessons according to the needs of the students and no one class is similar to another.
At South Thames College, Esher College and RHACC and I created teaching materials for new experimental courses like "Intensive interactive Italian" that involved web-based teaching materials and "Best Italian Online course" and I prepared numerous students, for the GCSE and A level Italian exams.
I can also offer a strong modern view on Italy and Italians leaving abroad. I occasionally still write as a correspondent for some Italian papers, and I’ve been the founder of the Italian British association in London.
