I am an experienced tutor in maths, further maths and physics. My speciality is A-level and GCSE, but all ages are possible. I have an enhanced DBS check on the DBS update service.
I have a first-class masters degree in theoretical physics from the University of Sheffield and a PhD in the thermodynamics of polymer copying from Imperial College London. I have worked internationally as a postdoctoral researcher for 3 years and have written 5 peer-reviewed papers in theoretical biophysics, which have been cited more than 20 times.
I have successfully taught dozens of school students one to one, including students with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyspraxia. The student's ages have ranged from 8-18. I have taught multiple undergraduate courses in physics, chemistry, engineering and medicine, including giving lectures, designing material and running tutorials, for which I was nominated for a student academic choice award in 2019. I have additionally supervised 5 master's students, all of whom received the top grade for their thesis.
1 hour £135, 1.5hr £190, 2hr £230 for up to 2 students simultaneously. Reduced rates apply for families or individuals in financial hardship. For small groups, special rates apply; please call for details.
