Hello, I am Shan Yi, but you can call me Shan. To give you a bit of introduction about myself, I am a recent graduate of the Bar Vocational Course (BVS) with LLM, specialising in Employment Law and Family Law. Throughout my Bar Course, I attained excellent academic results with 5 out of the 8 core bar modules attaining a distinction (80%). I also passed all my modules in a single sitting. My dissertation focuses on the interest of children and encompassed a critical analysis on what is considered the best interest of the child.


I finished my undergraduate degree in Queen Mary, University of London and was awarded First Class with Honours. There are several modules which I attained exceptionally high marks. They are Tort Law, Contract Law, Principles of Revenue Law, Media Law, and Family Law.

I got accepted into Queen Mary with excellent results. I scored straight A* in my Cambridge A-Levels. I took 3 subjects: Mathematics, Economics and Psychology. I believe that my experience and my excellent academic results could help you tremendously in your upcoming exams.

Growing up in a multiracial country, I am comfortable with communicating with people from different backgrounds. I would try to break up complicated matters into simplified bits for easy understanding. We are all in this together, I believe with a little bit of help from me, anyone could do well in the exams!
