History Tutor KS2 and GSCEs

I am a London-based full-time, professional private tutor with seven years of teaching experience. I specialise in History, Business, and English. Pursuing a career in teaching, I approach tutoring with both professional rigour and personal affection. I strive to ensure my students achieve their full potential by teaching at a high level.

For A-levels, I received 3 A*, and a Academic Scholarship. I am presently completing my Bachelors Degree in Law LLB, and predicted a First Class Honours Degree, meaning my subject knowledge is fresh and evolving to meet the ever changing syllabus requirements. My focus is not on reproducing materials but on targeting what will improve students’ grades the most. Work hard, but work smart.

My teaching style varies based on the student's needs. Discussing topics with students helps me gain a deeper understanding of their strengths and weaknesses. Once a topic has been understood, practice exam technique and exam questions are the next step. When I break things down into small sections and explain them in simple terms, my students find it helpful. I also focus on the type of memory my student has, a picture memory results in a completely different form of teaching to someone with a more logical approach, and my approach is therefore tailored to these requirements.
