I used to work in a private school where ı taught year 5, year 6 and year 7 pupils. I conducted my lessons face-to-face- in a classroom and in an online learning environment. I first like to get to know my learners and their interests, then use topics that are interesting to them. While I try to minimize teacher talk and maximise learner practice of the language, I always aim to teach language in context, which requires the target language to be used. Since context helps make the language more relevant, providing a vehicle for learners to come up with their own examples.
