I have 30 years experience teaching strings and have a PhD in educational research. I give online lessons to string players.

Lessons take place over zoom, with a limited latency, or on Jamulus in real time. Based on A/V submissions I receive following a learning period, I make both an objective and subjective assessment. Objectively with uniquely designed parametric variables such as pitch, intonation timber et cetera, and subjectively with informed understanding of the repertoire. I then recommend suitable reading material and prepare a strategy going forward. Observation can focus on the individual player, member of an ensemble, or the ensemble as a whole.
