My approach to teaching is to firstly understand the students strengths and weaknesses in the subject. From there I am able to gather where we would need to work on to be able to tackle those weaknesses. My lesson plans would be to go through a specific topic and then follow up with a series of questions to really consolidate and make sure my student has understood the concept deeply. Weekly homework would be given, which I would expect the student to send to me 24 hours before my next lesson with them. This leaves us enough time for them to go through the feedback I provide for them. Most importantly, I believe praising my students will give them that extra push and motivation to really believe in themselves and want to strive to do their absolute best!
