I prefer to structure my lessons around the individual and create a path to unlocking their personal goals. Regardless of ability we'll structure a lesson plan around your needs and goals. I've taught in various settings - Rock school style Band perfomance, 1-1 grade book lessons (trinity rock and pop), 1-1 unstructured lessons (learning favourite songs and developing technique), Jazz guitar and general musicianship I think it is important to develop an understanding of the guitar's relation to music and role within a band, as well as incorporating basic music theory to help make sense of the fretboard and give you the knowledge to independently learn away from lessons.
