I have always adopted my teaching strategies based on the needs of each student, unless I am teaching in a classroom setup where I incorporate Cooperative Learning strategies. I have made use of mixed media in my experience as part of my lesson plan and my strategies have always been hands-on, with less talking time on my part. I have also tried to focus on Habits of mind to the best of my ability where I don't always focus on if the student has the right answers but more so on why they don't and how can perform under challenging circumstances, to the best of their ability. In this way I have always been open and flexible to molding my strategies and lessons based on the challenges coming my way too. Currently, I want to use all my skills to teach online in the same way as I have already done in the past.
I give one on one lessons tailored to each student's need and pace of learning, to allow them to grow more confidently in academics, without any competitive pressure that sometimes affects their performance negatively.
