GCSE maths and A-LEVEL biology experienced tutor

Hi my name is Alisha Bansal and I am studying medicine at UCL.

I completed my A-Levels with triple A in biology, chemistry and maths and achieved the highest scores in biology and chemistry in my school. My GCSE grades: Biology 8, chemistry 8, physics 9, maths 9, geography 9, latin 7, Spanish 8, English lit and lang 7.

I have experience in tutoring for maths GCSE and biology A-Level and AS level. All of my students successfully passed their GCSEs and some students also received grade 8 and 9s. I have tutored GCSE maths students with special needs, and I always work with my students in order to find the most effective teaching methods for each student. My a level biology students received high predicted grades, As and A*s and all of my students saw boosts in their grades in the mock tests we did and their school tests.

As a student and tutor myself I have explored all the teaching and learning methods myself, and found that past paper questions are the most useful for both learning and applying knowledge. I understand that tutoring can be very daunting for the students, so I ensure the student feels comfortable and in control by introducing myself and giving them the opportunity to introduce themself, and by providing many options on ways to revise and allowing the student to chose which one would be most helpful to them.

I also offer UCAT tutoring, medicine interview tutoring and medicine personal statement tutoring, I received interviews from UCL, KCL and Kent and medway.
