I provide one-to-one tuition as I believe it will help the student focus on their progress instead of comparing themselves to others (in many-to-one classes), which would eliminate anxiety towards the subject.

In a typical lesson, I would create a step-by-step worksheet for the student to complete. The worksheet focuses mainly on one topic and provides the general method of solving textbook/exam questions within that topic. I will also leave out extra time at the end for them to ask any questions they are stuck on. Finally, sometimes I will also give students an optional challenge question - which may include proofs for formulas - to solidify their understanding of the topic.
