I have a degree in modern foreign lanugages and I heve been working as private langiage teacher for over 15 years. I have been working with students of different ages: pre-scholar, and scholar-age children. I start by asking them to greet each other and then I ask them what they did or what they are going to do at the weekend and what they would like to talk about in the conversation lesson. If nothing arises, I use the conversational dialogues book to stimulate the debate. We can also read newspapers, magazines, play with games with little children or watch videos and then talk about it. Whomework, depending on the lesson, I usually assign them some exercises related to the subject of the grammar lesson, I ask to rewrite twice new words that arose during the conversation and for the conversation lesson I ask to prepare a speech and deliver it. I usually don’t assign too much homework but, I think, an average amount. teenagers and adults up to a 75-year-old couple.
I usually start from the grammar fundamentals.
