I learned Spanish back in high school, under a system of intensive Spanish language acquisition. Not only did I had the usual language classes, I also took Chemistry, History, Geography, Biology and Ethics & Law in Spanish, along with special classes on Spanish History & Culture, Spanish literature and Latin American literature. In university I had an exchange at the Autonomous University of Madrid which imbued my Spanish with even more practical experience. Personal interests include learning languages and reading. As a speaker of Portuguese and Italian, I understand well a learner's mindset on whatever step of their journey, as well as how these languages can interfere with their Spanish language learning journey. Favourite authors include Horacio Quiroga, Ryunosoke Akutagawa, Mykhailo Kotsiubinsky, Leo Tolstoy, Ralph Ellison, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and others.
