Experienced London based Drawing/ Interior Design tutor available for online lessons!

Advert description
As an Online Art & Design Tutor, my approach to teaching drawing and interior design will be rooted in both foundational skills and personal expression, providing a comprehensive learning experience. Here’s how I plan to teach each subject: Drawing: Building Fundamentals: I will begin by teaching the basics of drawing, such as understanding lines, shapes, proportions, and shading techniques. Students will practice observational drawing, helping them capture the world around them accurately. Exploring Styles and Techniques: Once the fundamentals are mastered, we will explore various drawing styles and techniques, from realistic to abstract, and experiment with different mediums like pencil, charcoal, or ink to develop their unique artistic voice. Encouraging Creativity: I believe in guiding students to develop their creativity and confidence in drawing. I'll encourage them to express their ideas and emotions through their artwork, promoting a creative, supportive environment for experimentation. Feedback and Growth: Regular feedback on their work will be provided, helping students improve and refine their techniques. I’ll ensure they understand how to critique their own work and continue progressing on their artistic journey. Interior Design: Understanding Space and Functionality: I will introduce students to the core principles of interior design, focusing on understanding space, functionality, and the interplay of aesthetics. We’ll cover layout planning, space flow, and designing with purpose. Design Elements and Styles: Students will learn about key design elements such as color theory, textures, furniture arrangement, lighting, and materials. We will explore different design styles, from modern to traditional, so they can adapt their designs to various client needs. Practical Projects: Using design software or sketching, I will guide students through practical projects, such as creating mood boards, floor plans, and design concepts. This hands-on approach will allow students to apply what they’ve learned to real-world scenarios. Critique and Reflection: Just like with drawing, feedback will be a key part of the learning process. I will encourage students to critique their designs, reflect on the functionality and aesthetic balance, and make adjustments to improve their work.
