I was born in North London and I completed an Applied Chemistry degree in Nottingham and a PGCE with full QTS for Secondary Science at York University.

My first 10 years in teaching involved schools in Leeds, York, Essex and East London but I've worked in various institutions overseas and have enjoyed a great many cultures.

I'm a Chemistry Specialist teacher with experience in various Chemistry courses -
IB Diploma & AS/A Level Chemistry - MYP & GCSE Chemistry, Scottish Nationals

I have extensive experience working in a SEND/SEMH environment.
I worked for 3 years for the London Borough of Newham in their Inclusive Education section based at Tunmarsh Centre. I worked at The Heath School in Colchester for 3 years which was an SEMH day/boarding school for boys aged 10-17. I have worked as a SENCo in a large international school catering for students with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and OCD.

From November 2023 until July 2024 I worked at Woodhouse Grove school - a private day & boarding school on the Leeds/Bradford border - where I am teaching GCSE and A Level Chemistry ( at Chelmsford County High School for Girls in Essex- an Ofsted rated outstanding school with a national reputation for excellence ( was in Yangon, Myanmar at Network International school, in sole charge of Chemistry (AS/A Level and Chemistry IGCSE at the school. ( vision for students to have a life-long stake in Chemistry is to present them with memorable experiments which stimulate critical thinking skills that are useful in all areas of life. Nothing is more important to me than helping a young life thrive – by providing hope, inspiration, support and challenge both inside the classroom and in whatever setting is appropriate.

Chemistry has the power to provide stimulating and interesting experiences that can last a lifetime. Developing critical thinking skills, planning skills, the ability to anticipate, predict, reflect via fantastic Chemistry lessons is a goal that has absorbed me from day 1 as a probationary teacher until now.

I am flexible, I can think on my feet, I can communicate patiently and effectively but be firm when I think it is right. I have references from the senior management in all of the places where I have worked .
