Experienced Chemistry and Maths Tutor available during Weekends as well

Advert description
Hello my name is Sotia, I am a chemist with a masters in sustainable chemical engineering from University of Bath.

I have 1-and-a-half-year experience of online tutoring primary, O - level and A-level Maths and Chemistry for small group learning sessions and tutored individuals on a 1:1 basis meaning I understand the need to adopt an adaptive teaching style.

I only work with a small number of regular tutees as this enables me to offer a heavily personalized service but one-off tutees are always welcome, and can provide great value. As an online tutor of both Maths and Chemistry, I am very confident with the curriculum and the exam's structure and marking methodology, so the tutee will be offered excellent guidance through the whole series of our lessons.

My approach is to get the tutee excited about the subject and understand his/her needs and areas of improvements from the very first lessons, starting with an introductory session and some basic concepts of the subject chosen and then following an assessment session, where the tutee will have to complete a quiz based on the areas of the subject that he already covered to assess his knowledge and any gaps present. A regular class with me consists of a small session that we go through the theory of the subject chosen and summarize the topics that are usually present in the exam to make sure the student understands the most important concepts and does not lose easy marks, and then we go through exam exercises from previous years. We learn together useful tips on how to approach exercises and practice as much as we can, cause practice makes perfect !!
