Entertainment Industry Professional teaching on the mechanics and revenue opportunities of the music and film industries

I have decades of experience in many aspects of the entertainment industry in quite a few countries. My main areas of focus are on the mechanics and revenue potentials of the music industry with an emphasis on Sync Licensing and Neighboring Rights. I teach how the industry works, and how to make money with creative property (recordings, songs, session work etc.). I mentor young people in the industry, guide them through career decisions, and help them gain perspective on opportunities.

I also teach young professionals in the visual production industry the mechanics and legal steps of using music in visual productions. I teach what to watch out for, how to ensure all legal steps are completed, and how to balance creative wishes and budget limitations.

I have worked on the business side and also on the creative side. I have written hundreds of songs and co-written many more, I have produced, arranged, and engineered recordings. I have played thousands of shows in many countries. On the business side, I have worked in live booking, magazine media publishing, music publishing, record distribution, sync licensing, and music supervision/clearance. I have won many awards for excellence in business management and have been on the cover of many industry magazines. I am regularly invited to speak at industry conferences in many countries. So, basically, I know what I am talking about.
