English Tutor With Seven Years Experience Tutoring Ages 5 to GCSE Level with First Class English Degree - Online and in London

I have worked for several tuition schools over the past seven years and have also tutored students privately on a one-to-one basis. I teach English Language, English Literature, ESOL, Maths, and Creative Writing, and have previously worked at Explore Learning, Hallmark Learning, ExcelMe Tuiton, Al Muntaha Tutoring and Jus Education. I have taught students both in person and remotely, planning lessons using virtual presentations, activities and resources both in the UK and abroad. I believe the most successful results come from fostering a friendship with my students, and providing constant encouragement and support in their areas of interest. I pride myself on being an attentive listener and carefully adapt to the specific needs of my students, which is particularly helpful for my SEN and ESOL pupils. I have previously volunteered as a mentor with charities such as Al Muntaha Tutoring and Debate Mate, providing mentorship, relevant advice, and support to young people. At the beginning of every lesson I also do short activities and challenges with my students, using a points reward system to keep them engaged. Lessons start at 1 hour in length, with longer lessons available if required. Feedback is provided after every lesson and progress reports are completed every three to six months.
