English speaking tutor providing lessons in maths and science to children of all ages

I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Physics, a PhD in theoretical high energy physics, and a one year postdoctoral experience in bioinformatics. During my years in academia, I noticed that the primary reason most students avoid pursuing degrees in the supposedly “hard” sciences and even why I struggled at various points in my journey as a graduate student, was that often the foundational principles of mathematics and science are not explored or explained thoroughly at the school level itself. I would like to do my level best to rectify this flaw in our system.
I worked as a teaching assistant in the field of general physics, optics and electromagnetism for a large undergraduate class during which I came up with several tutorial and assignment problems to enable students of varying degrees of proficiency and knowledge to understand complex concepts. I have also helped elementary school kids from slightly difficult backgrounds to keep up with their school mathematics curriculum.
