Advert description
I was very young when my father sat me down and told me that he thought my life's mission was to be a teacher. While I have mixed feeling about working in a school environment, I have found that, as my father predicted, I find great joy in sharing knowledge. Whether working one-on-one with my son or working with my students via Zoom, teaching really is my life's work. Moreover, I am very good at it.
Perhaps my joy in teaching is based on my love of learning. As a teacher, I do my best to help my students experience the joy of learning. I also do my best to make learning (regardless of the subject) relevant to my student's interests. Relevancy, I have found, is a great motivator. And yes, Minecraft can be relevant to the study of ancient cultures (I have the lapbook to prove it).
While an independent worker, I am known for my ability to work well with others and for my patience when interacting with difficult and frustrated students.
