Registered Counsellor - Accredited Coach - Psychology Tutor

I offer two distinct types of sessions: psychology tutoring lessons, and coaching sessions, each with a different format suited to what they are for.

Coaching sessions are more conversational and reflective, drawing on my training as an accredited coach and registered counsellor. Rather than following a fixed curriculum, each session starts with understanding where a client feels stuck - motivation, structure, confidence - and works collaboratively toward a practical approach they can sustain. Sessions move between reflective conversation and concrete action steps, with regular check-ins to adjust as things evolve, since motivation and structure rarely respond well to a one-size-fits-all plan. Coaching is great if you are looking for clarity, direction and motivation.

Psychology tutoring lessons draw on my experience tutoring psychology at university level, as well as teaching and tutoring school-aged students. Lessons typically combine clear explanation of core concepts with a strong focus on application, helping students see how theory translates into essay arguments, research critique, and exam answers. A significant part of what I offer is essay support: I have spent the past five years working professionally in writing and communications, including extensive editing, so I'm well placed to help students structure arguments, tighten their writing, and understand why an essay isn't landing and to build the underlying skill so their writing improves over time. Lessons are structured around the student's actual coursework and goals, so content varies from concept revision to line-by-line essay review depending on what's needed.
