I have been a Primary Teacher for the past 20 years. During these Years. I have developed a deep understanding of how children learn maths. In order for children to grasp the concept well, they must first develop their understanding through Concrete, then pictorial and finally we move to the abstract.

In addition, children need to develop a good understanding of the four operations, and their times table as these will foster their fluency in all other areas in maths.
