Advert description
Skills and Experience:
I possess a strong academic background in electrical engineering, holding a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Malaya and a Master of Science in Robotics from King’s College London. My expertise spans various areas, including circuit design, power systems, control theory, and embedded systems. I have hands-on experience from projects such as designing a full-bridge DC-DC converter for EV wireless charging and developing a real-time reconfigurable lower limb exoskeleton. These experiences have honed my problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and ability to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.
In addition to my academic qualifications, I have experience tutoring students in engineering subjects, helping them to grasp complex topics and improve their academic performance. I am proficient in using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Altium Designer, and various simulation software, which I incorporate into my lessons to enhance understanding.
Teaching Approach:
My teaching approach is student-centered and adaptable. I begin by assessing each student's current level of understanding and identifying areas that need improvement. From there, I tailor my lessons to focus on these key areas, using a combination of theoretical explanations, practical examples, and problem-solving exercises. I believe in active learning, where students engage with the material through hands-on activities and interactive discussions, which helps reinforce their understanding.
I also incorporate real-world applications into my teaching, showing how theoretical concepts are used in practical engineering scenarios. This not only aids comprehension but also sparks interest and motivation in students. Throughout the lessons, I encourage questions and provide clear, step-by-step explanations, ensuring that students build confidence as they master each topic.
My goal is to not only help students succeed academically but also to instill a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles that they can carry forward into their careers.
