My lessons will be online through Zoom or similar platforms, and range from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on what the client is looking for. I am aiming to help students of all ages improve in all areas of Spanish, including listening, reading, writing and speaking. When working on listening, we may listen to videos, music or audio files, and then work together to break down what is being said to help deepen your understanding. When focusing on reading, we may read newspaper articles, magazines and books to familiarise you with vocabulary and grammar structures whilst covering topics you are particularly interested in. For writing, we will practice spelling and grammar, and cover lots of vocabulary, to develop skills so that you can then progress to write longer pieces of writing. Finally, during each lesson we will try and speak as much conversational Spanish as possible in order to build confidence and fluency. I understand that every child is different and therefore will adapt my teaching style to each individual student's ability as well as what they want to focus and particularly improve on. For primary school children, my main focus is to help them develop a basic understanding of the language so that they can easily transition to continue learning Spanish at a secondary school level. For GCSE and A Level students, my main focus is to familiarise them with the exam structure and content through practice papers and exam questions, so that they have the best possible chance of doing well. Following in class tests and mocks, we can work on weaker areas to help push to higher overall grades (8s and 9s at GCSE and A*s at A Level).
