First and foremost, I believe building trust is essential to fostering a positive and productive learning environment, irrespective of the age or experience of the student. To gain my students' trust, I will start by creating a welcoming, patient, and supportive atmosphere where they feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear of judgment. I draw from my experience as a Student Volunteer Intern at Calcutta Blind School, where I worked with visually challenged students. In that role, I focused on adapting my teaching methods to the individual needs of each student. I understand that every learner is different, and I will take the time to assess their strengths, challenges, and preferred learning styles. This allows me to tailor lessons in a way that is both engaging and effective. For example, I might use visual aids, storytelling, or interactive exercises, depending on what helps the student most. This personalized approach is something I will carry forward into my online lessons as well. In terms of content, I will teach students not just grammar and vocabulary, but also practical communication skills, such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing in context. I believe language learning is most effective when students can relate it to real-life situations, so I will incorporate themes and topics that resonate with their interests, ensuring they remain engaged. My experience in content creation and writing, particularly in crafting articles and digital marketing materials, has given me the skills to present information in a clear, concise, and engaging manner, which I will apply in structuring lessons. Moreover, I plan to use a combination of active learning techniques. In each lesson, I’ll include activities that require students to practice speaking and listening, such as role-plays, discussions, or interactive games. This will give them the confidence to use English in a variety of situations. I’ll also provide constructive feedback in a positive and encouraging way, helping students improve while making sure they feel valued and motivated. In short, my approach will be student-centered, flexible, and communicative. I will always strive to make each lesson an opportunity for my students to feel accomplished, build confidence, and develop their skills at their own pace.
