A Creative Maths Teacher with over 15 Years Experience

My journey as a Maths teacher began accidentally in 2007. A struggling school brought me in as a supply teacher and soon asked me to fill in the role temporarily. Before long, I transformed the maths department and took the school from a less than 50% pass rate (A* - C) to over 90%. Our students took their GCSEs in Year 10 so I learnt to move through the curriculum with speed and efficiency to ensure the best results and understanding.

I left there as Head of Maths in 2022, and began a new role teaching Maths and French at Chiswick School where I specialised in moving students from lower sets to higher ones.
