Both my current and previous roles have ‎involved a great deal of independent research, self-motivation and team work, and enriched my growing interest in becoming and an educator;and provide me with opportunity to develop my teaching skills in a well-structured environment, while furthering the aims of the organisations.

My name is Emmanuel. I am an Assistant Teacher and music student at Goldsmiths' College. In addition to my work as an assistant teacher, I offer private tuition in the ABRSM/Trinity syllabus at Grade 1 to 5

In my current role as music tutor, I aim to deliver lessons that encourage pupils to learn and develop techniques of appraising and analysing music through a series of activities. These activities will enable pupils to understand the relationship between the theoretical and practical aspects of music;and the broader historical and cultural influences that have shaped the development of Western classical music. This, I believe enhances participation among pupils as both listeners and musicians, and helps to dispel some of the unhelpful mythology around the great composers and their works.
Having worked within various educational settings ( state, Independent and college) and with pupils across a wide-ranging of abilities, I have observed the importance of working in partnership with parents and carers in order to facilitate the best possible outcomes for students.
