Arts & Theatre-Integration Educator - theatre and creativity used to teach a variety of subjects

Alan L. Bounville is an accomplished educator and theatre artist with a passion for inspiring creativity and change in the world. As the former Artistic Director of IN OUR WORDS, he used stories from real people to create immersive theatre productions that explored important social issues. Alan currently works for a variety of platforms as a tutor for all age groups and in a variety of subjects: reading writing, maths - primary and secondary through Algebra and Geometry, Acting, test preparation.

Alan has also worked as a teaching artist with renowned companies such as Roundabout Theatre Company, New York Theatre Workshop, and The Center for Arts Education, where he has worked with diverse groups of learners, including individuals with disabilities and English language learners. Alan is an accomplished playwright whose work has been featured in numerous media outlets, including The New York Times and The Guardian. He has been a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator at several theatre conferences and festivals, sharing his expertise in immersive theatre and storytelling. Alan is also a talented grant writer and has been instrumental in securing funding for local arts initiatives and food justice projects in his community. With a decade of experience in the field, Alan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his work as an educator and artist. His passion for empowering individuals through the arts and promoting social change is at the heart of everything he does.
