AQA, OCR and Edexcel A level English tution

I have a BA from the University of Cambridge.

I teach differentiated English Literature at A level and tutor students of various capabilities.

My methods depend on the needs of the tutee, comprising both teacher-centered and student-centered learning dependent on the current academic standard of the pupil.

For more able students wishing to achieve higher grade sets, I take a more student-centered approach to learning, that is based on an active student reaching out with areas of the syllabus they wish to review and develop heightened knowledge.

An emphasis is also placed on structured essay writing in the context of the syllabus.

This is in difference to an approach grounded in the comprehension of the basic specification commonly used in College, which typically involves covering key aspects of the course in order to gain a sufficient grade.
