Hello,
My name is Tom Phelan, I am 63 and live in Hertfordshire, although I have spent most of my working life in London.
I’m looking for a creative role within a company, on a part time or freelance basis as I have a lot to give.
I have no CV as for the last 25 years I have been a consultant for an event and branding company, working with a host of blue chip companies including The Football Association, The Discovery Channel, TUI and many others, helping with their event and branding requirements.
As the company has flourished, I have found myself with more and more time on my hands, and not being the sort of person that wants to sit at home all day, I thought I could use more of my time and experience elsewhere.
Until recently I have also been the co-owner of a very successful event space near London Bridge - Black Swan Studios, which we have recently sold and this has freed me up even more.
My roles within these companies have always been on the creative side of the process, providing ideas and strategies as well as being hands on with the event management and the writing and executing of presentations.
I also work as a Life and Career Coach for my company Why Be Limited? In this role I mentor people who have been feeling lost or lacking purpose, reinvigorating them and helping them to unlock their potential and maximise their performance.
.
Here is a link to the company website which explains it in more detail:
I have been an Ambassador for Oxfam and WaterAid, giving talks to schools about the shortage of safe, clean water worldwide and how countries have been devastated by it.
I recently finished the sequel to my crime novel ‘Beyond Any Reason’ which sold very well on Amazon and gained a lot of very kind 5 star reviews.
I feel I have a lot to offer, utilising my creative marketing, event management and mentoring skills and would relish the opportunity to put these tools to use elsewhere.
As I said, I do not possess a CV as I haven’t needed one, so this 5 minute scribble just about sums me up, I am more than happy to meet up to discuss further and can provide references as well.
Thank you for your time in reading this,
Tom
