During my 3.5 years at EY, I taught the audit associates and encouraged them to think outside the box. That is when I found many students lacked the ability to think coherently and clearly express their thoughts mainly because they used cramming techniques to learn or did not understand the route concepts. Understanding the concepts and why we do things the way we do will help you do 2 things; 1. You will never forget the concept again and perform well in practical life as well as interviews. 2.
