I would create a programme which helps the students understand a) why academic performance is important to them b) what barriers, negative beliefs and unhealthy practices they implement that are currently blocking them from achieving their goals c) what healthy practices they can develop that would help them achieve their goals. The programme would involve numerous tasks that help them develop the skills of resilience, consistency, organisation, time-management and goal-setting. It will also involve tangible advice on how to create a study timestable, prioritise work loads, manage stress and protect one’s mental health. Once their goals are set, I will monitor their progress and provide them with ongoing support, to ensure that they do not relapse back into unhealthy patterns/behaviours.
