I am a previously self-employed tutor. I have taught more or less around 30-40 students in my past, some of which I have been teaching for the last six years consistently. My main teaching approach is one-on-one however I have also carried out group lessons. I have tutored both face to face as well as online and both methods have been met with gratitude and success. During my lessons I enjoy using real life scenarios to help with everyday fluency and understanding however I also tend to do us on the grammatical side of English for students who need to work more on the theoretical side of the language. A great tool I enjoy using in my lessons are worksheets, whether those be interactive or printed out. Another tool which I lean to are videos and games as many of my students are visual and auditory learners and I observed that using these tools helped them grasp the material a lot more effectively.
