I'm a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student looking to give maths lessons online to kids of all ages. I have experience teaching students in person that should make for a smooth transition to online tutoring.

I find that a quick run through of the topic followed by example problems is the best way of teaching. From my experience understanding of a topic doesn't really sink in until a student has attempted a few problems to really get a feel for it, and mistakes made in attempting these problems is a good way to uncover weak points in a students understanding.
