I worked as a science tutor for sixth-grade, seventh-grade, and eighth-grade students for three years as a part-time job. It was an amazing experience and I enjoyed it. First, according to me, certain students feel science is an extremely boring, tough, and hard subject, students used to be terrified of Biology, and Chemistry, Hence I followed a three-way class approach to teach them for better understanding. Firstly I used to request students to read a chapter before class as it helped to understand the context of the chapter, next, I used to explain the in-person classroom classes in detail about the chapter, and finally, I used to take individual explanations for each or group of students and solve their doubts.
We used to have an exam schedule to asses students' performance every Friday, and Saturday, and I used to prepare the question paper, and all the questions were multiple choice type and my students particularly scored well with few exceptions. The significant thing I observed during the period was kids used to underperform in so-called online classes even the high school students, Hence my approach is simple as usual it helped many students to understand science.
