I provide violin lessons to young children up to the age of 12

I am a 23 year old student offering online violin lessons. Available from 24th February onwards. I graduated in July as a Bachelor of Music with a first class honours degree and have been teaching children music for the past seven years. I am currently studying for my PGCE in primary education at Edge Hill University and would love to expand my small part time business alongside this. I have my Grade 8 certificate in violin and have played in various orchestras and toured Europe as part of this. I thoroughly enjoy teaching children and passing my musical knowledge on to the younger generation! I also strive to create excellent relationships with my pupils so every lesson is an enjoyable experience.

The lessons will last one hour. During the first lesson, I will ask questions to get to know the child in order to form a bond with them. I will also ask about any musical experience they may have, and our work will be based on what they already know/don't know. For violin lessons, I use the Eta Cohen books if starting at beginner level. A conversation will also be had about whether the student would like to complete graded exams or if they would like to play for fun only.

If the child does not have a violin during the first lesson, this will definitely be needed for the second lesson in order to move forward.
