Advert description
Maths has always been the subject I succeed the most in, succeeding a grade A in GCSEs. I am currently studying business and finance in university which contains good mathematics skills for the course. I’ve also had experience with children, volunteering to babysit toddlers; also having experience with children from volunteering at a camp my auntie used to run which consisted of children ages 9 to 15. Working at McDonald’s previously has also built my communication skills allowing me to converse with people better.
Victoria in a nutshell
I run 1 to 2 hour lessons online which can take place depending on my student and my availability. My first lesson will involve me getting to know my student and giving them a test to gain a better understanding of their knowledge. I’ll also ask the parent / carer and the student if they have any weaknesses they’d like me to go over.

I run 1 to 2 hour lessons online which can take place depending on my student and my availability. My first lesson will involve me getting to know my student and giving them a test to gain a better understanding of their knowledge. I’ll also ask the parent / carer and the student if they have any weaknesses they’d like me to go over.

My lessons after the first lesson will focus more on my students weaknesses, teaching and testing them on topics they struggle with more. I’ll come back to topics they previously struggled with to make sure they remember these topics.

I’ll also occasionally give them questions they’re more confident in at the start of every few lessons to make sure they don’t forget anything. If they have any issues with this, I’ll aim to focus more on that topic either that lesson or the next lesson.

I’ll give my students surprise mini tests in timed conditions to test them and understand how they work under pressure. It will also allow me to see if my students still have any weaknesses they may be nervous to tell me.

Back when I did my GCSEs, I found learning and going through topics I need to know then questioning myself helped me remember topics easier, making sure to do past papers occasionally to see if I can answer questions in exams and also seek for other topics I may have less knowledge with.

Maths can be very challenging for many students so I hope to help those who are struggling to enhance their mathematic skills and hopefully overcome their fellow classmates!
