Boxing coach/teacher for students of all ages

Advert description
I am graduate Biological and Biomedical Sciences student from the University of Liverpool. I am honest, hardworking, reliable and well-organized. I have a positive attitude, lots of patience and a good sense of humor. I was involved in coaching the university team for the past 2 year at Salisbury ABC. Becoming president in my final year, this role helped me to build confidence in public speaking and organising a team effectively. Here I formulated my team to create and organise training sessions, devised for all skill and fitness levels to establish effective motivational relationships in order to maximise everyone’s training experience. Also running social media pages to display and promote the organisation. I graduated having had a successful year with our team producing 3 national university champions.

Furthermore i am a instructor at MMA defense which involves training a wide client age range in various martial arts disciplines. I learned skills of personalized service tailoring to each individuals needs and communication level. My work alongside fellow coaches encourages safety, respect, understanding and resilience and fun to ensure a comfortable learning environment for all.

I am also a qualified sports leader and national university boxing champion.

Start with a basic warm up to get the blood flowing. Involves skipping/running and a handful of exercises followed by a sequence of stretches to improve mobility and prepare the body for activity.

I start with the basics of stance and movement, showing each student how to stand and move effectively focusing on their understanding of the purpose and strength of each movement. Progressively build up from pad work and shadow boxing to more realistic partner drills and training.

Once effectively warmed up sessions will have different focuses and intentions to make sure my students hone their skills I all departments. These can include: footwork, head movement, the jab, angles and mind set. Once progression has been made sparring and partner drills can occur on a more realistic level which I will also involve myself in.

The sessions finish with a cool down and stretch during which we will discuss the mental aspects of the sport. Things such as determination, focus, commitment and understanding. These aspects I also relate to normal aspects of daily life which boxing is the mirror of.
