Advert description
I am currently a teacher of A level Biology, as well as both combined and triple science in a UK secondary school. I have a 1st in PGCE science from Edge Hill University as well as a degree in Zoology from the University of Liverpool. I have A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Spanish.
My number one priority is providing a safe and supportive learning environment, to help students grow in confidence and achieve their potential. I have a passion for my subject and love sharing this with others by making lessons engaging and providing a variety of activities and ways to learn, to suit all needs and preferences.
Beyond the academic realm, I find joy in dance, dog walking and weight lifting, something that I often draw on for inspiration when finding relatable examples to give students. I am always keen build great relationships with students to learn which of their interests we can bring into lessons to make learning more exciting. As a child I lived in Spain and from speaking Spanish as a second language, I have gained a lot of experience working with international students and English native speakers, in accessing some of the difficult vocabulary that science contains.
Drawing from personal experience, I too benefited significantly from tutoring during my teenage years, and that transformative impact motivates me to provide the same opportunities for others.
