Advert description
I am completing my PhD in Medical Entomology at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. I have taught Masters students and Professional Diploma students for nearly 2 years. I also run outreach science lessons for children at primary school age.
Since I have experience teaching from children up to adults, I am flexible with how I approach my lessons. I do not have a firm lesson template, as I aim to teach at the right pace and level for each individual student. If you are working towards a goal (A-Levels or Uni exams etc.) then the lessons will be structured into chapters/areas so to allow thorough cover of all relevant aspects.
Before the first session, I offer a free introductory phone call where we can discuss your needs/goals in more detail, and I can assess if I’d be a suitable tutor.
My special interest areas are public health, viruses, human infections & entomology (bugs!). Through my studies I am used to teaching microbiology, bioinformatics and parasitology.
