Advert description
My name’s Quinn, and I’m a tutor specialising in essay-based subjects, especially Humanities or English. I recently graduated from university with an MA in Writing and a BA in Politics and Sociology.
I’ve tutored, instructed and taught in a number of different settings - including with children up to GCSE level, young people in sixth form, and university students. I enjoy working with lots of different students, as in each stage of life, students have their own perspectives and outlooks. This is especially important for Humanities and written communication!
My lessons can differ depending on the style of each learner, but we can work together to figure out what kind of support you’d need. This could be a more interactive style of lesson, with exercises or examples, or me providing feedback on your written work. I’ve worked with AQA, Edexcel and OCR in the past, so can work to a specific syllabus for exams, or we can improve on skills when it comes to general communication and argument formation.
I like to ensure students are comfortable and happy with the pace set, and feel as though they’re learning in a supportive environment. Tutoring is extremely rewarding for both parties, but only if a student feels comfortable making mistakes and learning from there.
