I have been working in the field of teaching English for almost 30 years both with primary and secondary school students.
My graduates have always demonstrated a high level of communicative skills in English and a good command of the language. Most of them now live in different European and Asian countries and built successful careers.
I have always paid a lot of attention to my professional development as a teacher. In my practice, I’ve always used authentic resources and created my materials which helped me achieve the goals and objectives of lessons and make them exciting and engaging for students.
Last year, I improved my international profile by completing a course in TESOL: Language Teaching Methodology at the University of Birmingham (10 credits - Masters Level), I also have TKT certificates.
I attended teacher training workshops run by eminent educators from Pearson, Oxford University Press, National Geographic English Learning.
In my classes the main focus was always on the educational and emotional needs of my pupils, I always tried to create a positive atmosphere in the classroom and some research I did helped me drive the development of tools that helped me motivate my students to work harder.
A modern language lesson is impossible without applying educational technology tools. They help turn the process of learning into an enjoyable trip into the world of knowledge. Memorizing new vocabulary and grammar structures is much easier and more positive when you play a game and train your memory at the same time. My students are supplied with individual online kits to improve the effectiveness of their learning.
Learning a new language is the first step to understanding the culture of people, their traditions and history. in my lessons, I try to incorporate the elements of social-cultural studies to help students improve their knowledge and comprehension of the English-speaking world.
