Advert description
My Approach to Tutoring:
My approach to tutoring is student-centred and focused on building both understanding and confidence in maths. As an A-Level maths student myself, I know how challenging it can be to grasp complex concepts, so I strive to make each lesson engaging and clear.
Teaching Methodology:
I believe in breaking down concepts into bite-sized pieces, ensuring that students fully understand one step before moving on to the next. I use a combination of visual aids, real-life examples, and interactive problem-solving to make abstract ideas more accessible. I also encourage active participation, where students solve problems during the session, which helps reinforce their understanding.
I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs, whether it’s reinforcing basic foundations or tackling advanced topics. I also offer exam-focused coaching, teaching techniques for time management, problem-solving, and handling exam stress.
Lesson Length:
Each lesson is typically 60 minutes long, though I can adjust the duration depending on the student’s needs and the topics being covered.
Qualifications & Experience:
As an A-Level student, I’ve excelled in maths and achieved top grades in my exams. I’ve tutored peers and younger students for over a year, helping them improve their performance through patient, clear explanations and focused practice.
Who the Lessons Are For:
I offer tutoring to students in secondary school (ages 11–16), from those just starting out with GCSE-level maths. My lessons are designed for students who want to improve their understanding, tackle specific problem areas, or enhance their exam technique.
Whether you’re looking for extra support or just want to get ahead, I can help you achieve your goals in maths!
