I have a Bachelor of Music Education degree and am working on a Masters of Musical theatre. I have worked with students of all ages and all levels of English speaking. When I taught online grade 4 during the pandemic, I spent some time assessing reading levels and took a lot of care to gauge where students were at. I found readers' theatre to be very helpful, where we would read scripts and dialogues from TV shows to help with expression and confidence. I have used EPIC, Currents4Kids, Kahoot, Pear Deck and other platforms to aid learning and try to incorporate games into my lessons as often as possible. I really enjoy conversations with people from all over the world and I am very appreciative of anyone wanting to improve their language skills.
