My name is Mel and I am currently working as a soil scientist, but have a background in biochemistry laboratory-based research. I am a keen science communicator and am enthusiastic to share my love of natural sciences and the environment with young people

My previous experience in academic mentoring/teaching has been voluntary. This including volunteering teaching environmental/natural sciences education in a primary school in Peru! I'm highly creative and enjoy creating resources for scientific communication, including using digital illustrations to help convey my message.
