Advert description
A well articulated, dynamic and passionate English tutor with 6+ experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds. I received an international award for the top 10 academic achievers during my GCSE's, with particularly exceptional grades in English Language and Literature. I completed a diploma in Writing Stories for Children and I have been teaching English to refugees whilst also offering my editorial and proofreading services to UG and PG students. I won the Creative Writing Award of the Year in 2017 after completing a series of dramatic monologues and poems on the diaspora and delivered my piece at the UK Literature Festival in 2018.
I completed my degree in English Language & Literature in 2017 and MA in English Literature at the University of Leeds. I am fond of the Romantic + Victorian period and will find me always engrossed in the work's of Brontë, Keats, Shelley, Lamb and Wordsworth. Distinctions were commonplace during my time at University, but this particular piece on the Musicality in Wordsworth’s Prelude received the highest grade in my year group. I would describe my teaching style as thorough, personable, fun and interactive. All my students have far exceeded their expectations and most importantly, developed a love for English in a way they never thought was possible!
My experience includes working as a Content Editor for EAP, Poetry writing for the UK's first Muslim Ballet School Grace & Poise, Ghost writing for Amazon's Publishing team and writing for the Gryphon Student Newsletter. Currently, I am the founder of Articulately: .uk and I work with publishers, authors, writers, SMes, and creative enterprises around the world.
