I am a creative, patient, empathetic, and perceptive tutor, who thrives on inspiring others through the performing arts

Advert description
I have over ten years of professional teaching experience, starting in 2012, and have worked with hundreds of students worldwide. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of Exeter and completed my teacher training at Manchester Metropolitan University. My career began with an international youth theatre in Hong Kong, supporting young performers—many of whom were learning English—through creative and engaging methods. Since then, I’ve taught students aged 4 to 18, including GCSE and A-Level groups, and am familiar with AQA, Pearson (Edexcel), and CAIE (Cambridge) exam boards.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I adapted to virtual teaching, using interactive tools and designing remote performances to keep students motivated. This experience honed my skills in digital lesson planning and online teaching, which I now bring to my tutoring sessions.

I love helping students reach “light bulb” moments, whether mastering acting techniques, achieving creative goals, or tackling academic challenges. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, focusing on:

-Developing creative thinking and staging ideas
-Building acting skills, including voice, physicality, and character work
-Analysing and critiquing drama for assignments or personal growth

Having directed productions like Alice in Wonderland, Lord of the Flies, and High School Musical, I inspire creativity and confidence in every student. Whether preparing for exams, enhancing acting skills, or exploring drama for fun, I’m here to guide and support you. Feel free to get in touch or book a session—I’d love to help you achieve your goals!
