I hold a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Information Technology from the Faculty of Information Technology at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. My studies provided me with a solid foundation in software development and a comprehensive understanding of IT principles and practices. Throughout my undergraduate years, I consistently achieved high grades, resulting in a Second Upper Class honors degree with an overall GPA of 3.56. This academic achievement reflects my commitment to excellence and my ability to acquire and apply knowledge effectively.
Furthermore, I hold an MSC in Data Science with first-class honors from Leeds Beckett University, United Kingdom. This program equipped me with the skills to extract valuable insights from complex datasets and make data-driven decisions. My academic performance, with a distinction in Database Systems, Data Warehouse Models and Approaches, Data Analytics and Visualization, and Research Practice, demonstrates my dedication to academic excellence. Moreover, my final year project, titled "Comparative Performance Analysis of using Machine Learning algorithms for Fraud Detection in Insurance Claim Process," was selected for the annual showcase of Leeds Beckett University, highlighting the quality and impact of my work.
