I am a native English speaker and I have a CELTA degree as well as experience teaching English as a foreign language

I have taught English online for Itutorgroup and Whales English. These jobs sadly ended due to intervention by the Chinese government. I gained a lot of experience using online teaching tools. I have taught English language skills to refugees and other immigrants on a voluntary basis, most recently in Lancaster (UK) and Amsterdam (Netherlands). From February until October last year, I have worked as a translator for global news organisation Vice Magazine.

I have extensive experience teaching at university and college level. In Utrecht, the Netherlands, I worked as a law lecturer for four years at a journalism college and more recently, from 2012 – 2018, I worked as a lecturer in investigative journalism at Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa. Since I returned to the UK in 2019, I have completed a CELTA certificate.
